Our School Vision

                     Stickland's CEVA Primary School Vision

Aspire, Believe, Belong and Achieve

Let your light shine – Matthew 5:16

                                     Our Vision Statement

Our vision for Stickland’s encompasses a curious and positive approach to learning with well-rounded and confident individuals who aspire to achieve their full potential whilst being kind and compassionate to each other, the world around them and themselves.

We fulfil this vision by promoting the Christian ethos, having the highest expectations and by nurturing and valuing each child.  Our vibrant curriculum with knowledge at its core helps our children achieve the standards set out in the national curriculum whilst enriching and bringing to life their learning experience.

This year we have been working with staff, governors and children to create our new school vision statement. This piece of work will be central to the future development of the school.

We are incredibly proud to be a church school –Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

We want all Stickland’s children to let their light shine!

Jesus explained that no one lights a lamp just to hide it under a basket. A lamp is meant to be placed on a stand to give light to everything around it. Whether you’re timid or outgoing, you’re called upon to be a light to the people around you. This can only happen if you’ve fostered and cultivated relationships with the people around you.

The vision for the future of our school clearly shows that relationships are at the heart of everything that we do at Stickland’s. We want children to be extraordinarily brave, to have the highest aspirations for themselves and for others; and we realise that fostering a culture and sense of belonging is key to success. All children will be encouraged to excel to the best of their ability. Professional, approachable and caring staff will always be ready to listen and support them. We want our school to be a place where parents, carers and members of the local and global community always feel welcomed, respected, valued and listened to.

Parents are given the responsibility as their child’s first educators to foster and nurture within them a well-rounded personal social education. As a school, our role is to support this understanding through the creation and delivery of a considered, progressive, broad, balanced and exciting curriculum. By creating opportunities which engage and challenge children, their potential begins to be realised. As a school, we are committed to this.

We are ensuring that we are building a confident, inclusive, successful community built on respect and shaped through enjoyment, growth and belief.
